Day :Arrive Kolkatta
You will be received an arrival and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you proceed on a half-day city tour of Kolkatta.

Day 2:Kolkatta - Guwahati
In the morning you will be transferred in time to the Domestic Airport to board your flight for Guwahati. On arrival you will be received & after lunch in a local restaurant you will be driven to Kaziranga National Park, where you will arrive by the evening. On arrival check into a Wildlife Resort.

Day 3:in kaziranga national park.
You embark on a pre-dawn elephant ride to Kaziranga's Central Range, the best way to get really close to the Rhino & other animals. After breakfast at the lodge, you take a walk through a terraced tea garden & past a Karbi tribal village, then drive to a Mising tribal village, with their distinctive house raised on piles.
Later in the evening you will drive to Kaziranga's Western Range for a jeep safari & to scan the wilderness from an observation tower. Kaziranga is a World Heritage site & with a population of well over 1000 rhinoceros is the best place in the world to see these beasts. There are also good populations of tiger, wild elephant, sambar, swamp deer, hog deer, wild pig & many other species.

Day 4:Kaziranga National Park - Jorhat - BY SURFACE /
80 KM / 2 HRS
Today you drive from Kaziranga National Park for a day excursion to Majuli Island. For this you drive to Jorhat from where you proceed for another 13 km to Nimati Ghat. Here you embark on a ferry to cross the Brahmaputra River which take approx 1 ½ hrs. At Majuli Island you get the opportunity to visit Auniati Satra Temple and Museum. Thereafter you visit a tribal village at Jengraimukh where you get to interact with the Missing Tribes. You would be carting your packed lunch and arrive back at the Ferry in the afternoon. After re-crossing the Brahmaputra River you would arrive at Jorhat by the evening. On arrival you check in to a heritage hotel.

Day 5:Jorhat - Dibrugarh - By Surface / 120 Km / 3 Hrs
After breakfast you drive to Dibrugarh - the "Camellia" town of Assam, an undisturbed haven, with its endless stretches of tea gardens. En-route, just 80 km short of Dibrugarh, you will be stopping to visit Sibsagar - the ancient capital of Assam & Ahom rulers, who came from Thailand through Northern Myanmar during the 12th century & established the Ahom that ruled a large part of Assam for six centuries. The Rang-ghar, Tolatol-ghar & Siva dual - the tallest Siva temple in the world, will be the highlights of your visit to Sibsagar.
Reaching Dibrugarh by the late afternoon, you will be driven to the Mancotta Chang Bungalow located 12 km from Dibrugarh town. This 140 years Heritage Chang Bungalow, built be pioneering Scottish tea planters offers a unique experience of the traditional plantation life.
In the evening you will be going for a tea tour to learn about tea - its origin, how it is grown & experience the fine art of tea tasting.

Day 6:In Dibrugarh
After break fast you will get the feel of the mighty Brahmaputra River as you take an hour long river cruise on a country boat, traveling first up-stream & the down-stream to the start point.
After you river cruise experience you take a drive for about an hour & a half to visit Tai-Phake village that is 60 km away. Tai-Phake Village is an ethnic village situated near the River Buri-Dihing. The ancestors of this village came from Southeast Asia in the mid 17th century. The village showcases the cultural heritage of the Tai community. The houses are traditionally made out of bamboo & palm leaves. Villagers are hospitable & welcome visitors to their homes. Their indigenous looms & textiles is a "must see' for all visitors. By the afternoon you will be back at the Chang Bungalow.
In the evening there will be an extravaganza of local culture, folk dance & music at the Bungalow.

Day7:Dibrugarh - Kolkatta - By Flight- Deparure Kolkatta
Your sojourn in the North East ends with a flight from Dibrugarh to Kolkatta. On arrival at Kolkatta you will be received. The evening is free for some last minute shopping to pick up some souvenirs, if you so desire. Later in the evening you will be transferred in time to the International Airport to board your flight back home.
