General/family camping
Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful destination for family camping. Himachal Tourism organizes camps at Sarchu in Lahaul, and tents are available at Sangla and Kalpa in Kinnaur, and at Kaza in Spiti along with built- accommodation. Camps at Dalhousie (Chamba) and at Kullu-Manali are run and organised by youth hostel association of India. Barog in Solan district, Baspa (Sangla) valley and Kalpa in Kinnaur, Tabo in Spiti, Al Hilal (Taragarh) and Dharamsala in Kangra have been predominantly under the private sector.

Wildlife camps

Amidst the northern regions of Uttranchal is Chitrauli, not far from Nainital, and is regarded as a prime trekking and camping paradise in the northern region Gujarat with its versatile wildlife offers a nice place for wildlife camping at Gir National Park.
